New York lived up to its name as the city that never sleeps Tuesday evening as it played host to the infamous Hound Comics’ release party for its flagship brand, Brimstone and The Borderhounds issue number two. The title turned heads in the months prior as the only independently owned and operated comic book company distributed in Barnes & Noble, the largest book retailer in the world! Dual CEOs William ‘Brimstone’ Kucmierowski and Marcello Carnevali welcomed everyone to join them in celebrating the rapid growth of the corporation. Guests were pampered with gourmet finger foods compliments of the hosting venue, Stone Creek Bar & Lounge.
We’ve covered numerous Propworx auctions over the last couple of years, and while we’ve never been able to get to one of these events to buy stuff for the Major Spoilers Nerd Room of Doom, we’ve always hoped there would be a way for us to participate in some way. Led by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, an elite rescue team attempts to free a captive Jedi general from an impenetrable Separatist prison. Our heroes stage an action-packed forced entry to “The Citadel,” the first chapter in an explosive three-part storyline – airing at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT Friday, February 18 on Cartoon Network.
While many of the Polls of the Week have focused on fisticuffs between heroes (or villains), or which franchise is better than the other. This week, instead of throwing players in a ring and having them duke it out, we’re asking you to sit and think.
Teams and organizations are always trying to grow their membership. In the case of the Jedi and the Green Lantern Corps, membership is limited, but each have their privileges. We want to know which would you rather be a member of?
It won’t die no matter how hard George Lucas tries. The Star Wars toy line is just as prosperous as it’s ever been and this year there is going to be an emphasis on the Vintage line and the Clone Wars cartoon line.
My son has taken quite a liking to the Star Wars universe and loves putting on his Boba Fett and Storm Trooper helmets and running around the house blasting things… he’s three. I’ve been contemplating getting him a Darth Vader outfit, even though we haven’t broken it to him that Anikin and Vader are one in the same (I think we’ll do it on the same day we tell him Santa isn’t real).
I do know that if we did get him a Darth outfit, he’d be just like this kid in this awesome Volkswagen commercial that is schedule to air during the Super Bowl.
I haven’t seen any other commercials from the big game, but I’m casting my vote on this one as the Best of Show.

Two potential destinies become clear in “Altar of Mortis,” the second chapter of a three-part Clone Wars storyline – airing at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT Friday, February 4 on Cartoon Network.
