With the San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, some of the weird from Hollywood is starting to surge to the forefront, as we present another installment of the Rapid Roundup of Tinsel Town Rumors.  Some might be true, some might be outright lies, but they are all entertaining… to someone… maybe not you… maybe that cute girl on the bus would be interested in your thoughts on the subject… or maybe not.  I don’t think looking at her and saying, “So what do you think about Cameron Diaz and the Green Hornet?” will get a dialogue started.

The Spectacular Spider-Man Sneak Peek

On Monday, June 29, 2009, Disney XD airs a brand new episode of The Spectacular Spider-Man featuring Robert Englund reprising his role at the Vulture.

As Christmas approaches, the SINISTER SIX reconstitutes with SANDMAN, RHINO, VULTURE, ELECTRO and new members MYSTERIO and KRAVEN.  All they want for Christmas is SPIDER-MAN – dead.  Meanwhile, PETER PARKER finds his wandering eye prevents him from being with GWEN STACY.  He’ll have to learn to focus if he wants to get the girl… and if he wants to stay alive.

The Spectacular Spider-Man Sneak Peek

The new season of The Spectacular Spider-Man debuts at 7:00 PM ET/PT on Monday June 22, and we have a sneak peek of what you can expect from the episode.

In the season premiere, “Blueprints,” Peter wants to talk to Gwen about their first kiss, but before he gets the chance, Spider-Man has a run-in with the sorcerer Mysterio.  Following in the additional brand-new episode, “Destructive Testing,” Peter wrestles with his feelings for both Gwen and Liz, but in the meantime, Kraven the Hunter has arrived to make Spider-Man his prey.

The Spectacular Spider-Man has moved to Disney XD for those of us in the States, so make sure you set your Tivo accordingly.

Spidey meets the Yeti (and Morgan Freeman)

If our Friday Sing-Along had you curious, here’s a look at what The Electric Company offered up to us young tikes back in the day.

Narrated by Todd Graff, with Danny Seagren as Spidey, Jim Boyd as the Yeti, and Morgan Freeman as the policeman who wants to end the Yeti’s squashing spree.

The groovy Spider Man theme song was composed by Gary William Friedman, and the vocals on this version were performed by the fourth lineup of the Short Circus.

Deadpool: Suicide Kings #1-3 back to press

Marvel Comics has announced the three issues of Deadpool: Suicide Kings have sold out at the distributor level, prompting the compnay to send all of them back to press for a series of second printings (with variants).

Wade Wilson does a lot of stupid things, but it’s the one thing he didn’t do that gets him into the most trouble!  Someone tarnishes the name of this charismatic enigma and revenge is on his mind, but first he must escape a trio of Marvel powerhouses! Can Deadpool stay out of the line of fire when the Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man come looking for him?  Be sure to catch the stylish art of Barberi on the cover of these interconnecting second printing variants!
