Laurie Juspeczyk is a problematic character.  She’s foul-mouthed, short-tempered, inappropriate, and highly flawed.  In short, she’s the everyman glue that holds the extraordinary sorts of Watchmen together.  While her story is reliant upon the other cast-members, the primary characters of the book become reliant upon her as well.  Can the incredibly talented team of Conner & Cooke get her right?

Most of the time, when we look at art from a specific artist, we only get the final image.  Sometimes we are able to see a couple of images of the work in progress, but rarely do we get to watch the artist in action.  Today, not only do we get a look at Amanda Conner’s Silk Spectre, but we get a time-lapse video of Amanda drawing the piece.

Slew of Watchmen Posters Hit the Net

Warner Bros. released six character posters across the Internet yesterday, causing fans to scramble to find out what major sites got the exclusives.

The new character artwork was made available Wired.com’s Underwire blog (Ozymandias), LATimes.com’s Hero Complex blog (The Comedian), EW.com’s PopWatch blog (Doctor Manhattan), USAToday.com’s Lifeline Live blog (Rorschach), MTV.com’s Splash Page blog (Silk Spectre II) and AccessHollywood.com (Nite-Owl).

As March approaches, expect to see more run all around the web type promotions to build the hype for the movie.

Batman: Black and White and Red Son to be Adapted into Motion Comics

Burbank, Calif., October 8, 2008 — Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution today announced the renowned graphic album “Batman: Black & White” and graphic novel “Superman: Red Son” are being developed into short-form digital Motion Comics. In addition the first and highly anticipated second chapter of the “Watchmen” Motion Comics are now available for download via iTunes, Amazon Video on Demand, Xbox Live and the Sony PlayStation Store. Summary editions of the “Watchmen” Motion Comics are available to Verizon Wireless V Cast customers as well as Sprint TV customers via the DC Comics Channel.
