SDCC’12: The CW teases more Arrow

The CW is teasing Arrow pretty hard at the San Diego Comic-Con, and we’re seeing more clips and pics arrive for the show. From what I hear, early reactions to the show are positive, but I’m going to reserve judgement until I have a chance to see it for myself on October 10, 2012.

SDCC’12: Super7 announces Alien ReAction figures

In 1979, prototypes for 3 ¾” action figures for the ALIEN film were developed but never manufactured. Through our network of industry and collector contacts, Super7 has unearthed the original 33-year-old prototypes and will utilize these to help make these “lost toys” a reality.

SDCC’12: Legendary Comics partners with Waid, Davis, and Brooks for graphic novel

Legendary Comics, the comic division of Legendary Entertainment, is using Comic-Con International 2012 as the venue to unveil the new creators who will be working on projects for the company in 2013. Legendary announced today that Mark Waid (Kingdom Come, Daredevil), Shane Davis (Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns, Superman: Earth One), and Max Brooks (The Zombie Survival Guide,G.I. Joe: Hearts & Minds) will join forces on Shadow Walk, an all-new graphic novel that is set to launch in 2013. At its panel on Thursday afternoon, Legendary will be making another project announcement featuring one of the biggest names in comics.

SDCC’12: The Adventures of Retrobot game previews at convention

Endeavor Bros and Monkube today previewed their newest mobile game The Adventures of Retrobot at Comic-Con International: San Diego. A fusion of game and comic, The Adventures of Retrobot for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch pushes the boundaries of interactive graphic novel style stories intertwined with pick up and play gamer action. The game is set to hit the App Store mid-July and original digital and print comic series are planned to be available soon.

While we don’t know all of the announcements Dark Horse Comics will make during their The Future of Star Wars Publishing panel at the San Diego Comic Con this Friday, Brian Wood has let the world know he will be writing an ongoing Star Wars book for the company.
