Ryan Ottley’s work on Invincible is known to be both breath-takingly good while being some of the bloodiest in comics. Today, however, we are spot-lighting work Ottley has done in his spare time and it seems he has a thing for giant monsters.

VARIANT COVER: Invincible gets G-Man treatment

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Image Comics, many titles published in 2012 have featured special variant covers by G-MAN creator Chris Giarrusso. INVINCIBLE #98 is the latest addition to a list that includes BLOODSTRIKE #32, CBLDF LIBERTY ANNUAL “Spawn” cover, CHEW #29, CYBER FORCE #1, ELEPHANTMEN #44, MORNING GLORIES #23, SAVAGE DRAGON #183, THE WALKING DEAD #103, WITCHBLADE #161, and YOUNGBLOOD #71.

At the NY and Boston comic book conventions, artist Ryan Ottley was busy working on commissions. He recently updated his website with a selection of pieces from the show, and I got a real kick out of his Invincible/Hulk/Superman piece.
