Bluewater Productions sent Major Spoilers a sneak peek of titles available this week.
William Shatner Presents Added to Free Comic Book Day
Bluewater Productions has announced it will have a special one-shot collector’s edition of William Shatner Presents in time for Free Comic Book Day. Included in the anthology is an original prologue story from the upcoming Tek War series.
This 12-page prequel takes place 4 years before the initial storyline. The story centers on protagonist Jake Cardigan’s arrest and conviction for murder as well as Tek trafficking. The story also leaves several clues as to important plot points that will happen in the series. We get an insiders look at the Tek War universe and the history behind Jake’s troubled past.
I knew William Shatner was the mind behind Tek War, but I did not know Quest for Tomorrow and Man O’ War were also inspired from this acting legend. Stories from those two series will also appear in the FCBD edition. While William Shatner will be producing and editing eachof the series with Craig Nevius, there will be specific writin teams for each series.

This week Bluewater Productions has four titles hitting stores. Take the jump for a sneak peek of Vincent Price #1, Bartholomew of the Scissors #1, Ray Harryhausen Presents: The Elementals #1, and Ray Harryhausen Presents: Back to Mysterious Island #3.
Bluewater Productions Team with Roger Corman
Bluewater Productions has announced it is teaming with B-movie director Roger Corman to bring some of Corman’s works to comic book form under the title Roger Corman Presents. Expect to see Death Stalker, The Barbarian Queen, Humanoids From The Deep, and Black Scorpion.
“Roger Corman’s body of work is so visual and visceral,” said Bluewater’s president Darren G. Davis. “What will make these titles stand out is that Mr. Corman will be personally involved in their development,” Davis said. This is not just another licensing gimmick, but an outlet to rediscover his creative genius and a chance for readers to once again be pleasantly frightened. I still get the willies from the ‘Masque of the Red Death’.”
The Roger Corman Presents titles will also include interviews, behind the scenes pictures from the original movie set, and more.
I’ve read a few of Bluewater’s Ray Harryhausen Presents stories, and they are pretty good, paying proper respect to his stories, so I have no doubt Corman’s line will receive the same treatment.

Vincent Price Lives Again
Bluewater Productions has announced it has reached an agreement with the Price family to use the famous actor’s likeness and name in a new monthly series called Vincent Price Presents. The ongoing series will feature Price in various roles throughout the stories.
Victoria Price explains the motivation behind the collaboration: “I’m really touched and excited about the series because it will help energize my father’s legacy for a new generation. We’re planning a big celebration for his 100th birthday in 2010, and this comic series fits into those plans perfectly.â€
