The holidays are upon us! As a young child, the holiday television specials were the thing to look forward to each year. As each air-date drew near, the schoolyard was filled with talk about which one was the best, and long debates on the legitimacy of “He who smelt it, dealt it.” We’ve long settled the debate*, but the question of which holiday special is the best, still perplexes us today. VOTE! *It was Mike. It was always Mike.
In the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday, and with that celebration comes a large meal with a lot of side dish foods that are just too good to resist. VOTE!
With J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them landing in theaters this week, we are about to kick off a whole new run of flicks exploring the world of Harry Potter. Though this movie won’t feature The Boy Who Lived, it does make us think about the kid with that nasty scar on his head. VOTE!
It’s time for your superhero movie to find a composer, and everything points to something completely different. Queen proved you could make an awesome soundtrack, and there are a few other band who are looking for work. VOTE!
This past week, we were teased with a new game system from Nintendo. The Switch promises to be the best of the Wii, WiiU and 3DS combined into one system. Little is known (as of this post) of the price point, battery life, games available on launch, but the hype engine has a lot of people excited about this new gaming system that arrives in March 2017. As the fall television season finally gets underway, we pause for a moment to ponder the loss of shows that were cancelled/ended before their time. Meanwhile, other shows continue without a second glance, that may (or may not) have passed their freshness date. Which brings us to this week’s Major Spoilers Poll of the Week. Spoilerite Garret asks the all important animated question; Simpsons or Futurama? VOTE!
The heat of the summer is building to a boiling point and we are all going crazy. We can’t even go to the beach, because the DC/Marvel feud has spilled over into the ocean. FIGHT!
There are a number of fictional bands in the comic book and pop culture universe… like, um… that group, and that one guy… oh, and KISS! They’re in comics, right? Spoilerite James wants us to engage in a thought experiment this week. Imagine Netflix takes on the Doctor Who franchise and wants an American actor to take on the title role. The network has narrowed it down to three, but want you to select the best Doctor. VOTE!
No one likes to see their two favorite people in the whole world fight, but just like peanut butter and chocolate, heroes fighting heroes seems to be the name of the game these days. Which brings us to today’s fateful fisticuffs fretting – Blue Beetle or Booster Gold?

I will happily argue that Push is one of the best (if not the best) X-Men movie ever made. It not only features actors who have gone on to play heroes from the Marvel U, but it features a cast of mutants and characters who are engaged in a struggle for survival in a world that wants to shun them or use their powers for their own dark deeds. While Push is a movie that seldom gets the nod, everyone who has seen it likes it a lot. Which brings us to the Major Spoilers Poll of the Week! VOTE!
Over the years a number of actors have portrayed Superman’s bald nemesis, Lex Luthor, but who got it right? VOTE!
