Some of you may remember the brouhaha surrounding David Goyer’s Supermax film project that was supposed to feature Oliver Queen locked away in a maximum security prison surrounded by the DC villains that he put there. The latest description of the film doesn’t quite sound like Goyer’s original premise. The story takes place in a Maximum Security Prison for the Super-Natural as a skilled guard must join forces with a lethal inmate after a riot ensues in order to fight his way through various monsters and mad-men in order to survive. Doesn’t sound like an Ollie Queen movie to me.
Well, this can’t be good Over the years, DC has put together some really great couples. Clark and Lois, Ralph and Sue, Ollie and Dinah, Batman and Robin. No, wait… Way back when Tom Cruise was telling Renee Zellweger that she completes him, Wally West was proclaiming to Linda Park that she was his anchor; the one and only thing that keeps him from completely falling apart. It’s a crisis year isn’t it? And Flashes tend to die, but no one said anything about their loved ones. I sense a dark disturbance in the Speed Force.
“Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon” – Like by the end of the issue Even though Mark Waid said returning to the Flash after his long run was a huge mistake, there is one thing you have to give him credit for; adding the children as a plot device that would have repercussions down the road – hey, just in time for a new crisis!
