TALK BACK: The Avengers

It’s here! It’s here! Marvel’s The Avengers is finally here!  Even though we have read the reviews, and even though the movie opened internationally over the last couple of weeks, those of us in the U.S.A. finally get the chance to see what all the hoopla is about.

TRAILER: International Prometheus trailer clocks in at 3-minutes

I hope 20th Century Fox doesn’t release as much promotional material as Disney did with The Avengers.  I’d much rather have bits and pieces dished out as a slow buildup.  Of course if the studio wants to release more three minute plus long trailers, I’m not going to complain too much.

MOVIES: Fantastic Four getting the reboot – Chronicle director at the wheel

If Fox, Sony, and other studios want to maintain the rights to Marvel properties, they need to make sure they are constantly working on a new movie.  Fox is ready to bring the Fantastic Four back to the big screen, and it looks like the studio has found a director to do it.

SOLICITATIONS: Aspen Comics announces The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

In connection with the summer release of the 20th Century Fox motion picture Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, renowned director Timur Bekmambetov, in association with Aspen Comics, will be releasing The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter deluxe edition hardcover book. The film, directed by Bekmambetov and produced by him along with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley, will be released domestically on June 22nd.

FROM THE VAULT: The Darkest Hour

The alien invasion genre comes and goes, and for the last couple of years, invaders from beyond have taken theaters by storm. The Darkest Hour found its way to Blu-ray DVD and into the hands of Major Spoilers, which means we simply had to pop it into the player and take a peek.
