Think Marvel is content with only printing comics, offering digital comics, dominating the comic book movie box office, and hosting its own online digital comic repository? Think again. It’s been a merry-go-round for 20th Century Fox as they search/find/replace directors for the upcoming Wolverine 2: Electric Boogaloo sequel. It looked like Darren Aronofsky would helm the project, but he stepped down, then rumors and rumored rumors circulated as director after director sat down to talk with the studio. Now it looks like 20th Century Fox has settled upon James Mangold to direct the picture.
If you are not familiar with Mangold’s work, it probably means you didn’t see the Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz action/comedy/romance/disaster Knight and Day. Of course he also directed 3:10 to Yuma, so there’s still hope this movie will turn out okay.
