There was so much news coming out of the San Diego Comic-Con that even a week later, we are still getting news of announcements made at the show. Zenescope Entertainment had a few bits of information to share at the con, including the announcement about an upcoming television series.

Press Release
A total of 10 Will Eisner Comics Industry Awards winners and nominees and seven artists from the DC relaunch “DCnU” are among the more than 210 comic creators scheduled to attend Wizard World Austin Comic Con, part of North America’s largest pop-culture tour, Nov. 11-13 at the Austin Convention Center. Eisner Hall of Famer Marv Wolfman (“DCU Online,” “Crisis on Infinite Earths”) joins winners Bill Sienkiewicz (“Elektra,” “Assassin”), Kevin Maguire (“Justice League,” “Batman Confidential and Rob Guillory (“Chew”).

We’ve seen the awesome trailer, some of you may have already played the game, but do you know the full story? That’s what DC Universe Online Legends #1 hopes to clarify as universe building goes into overdrive.

Kratos continues his quest for the healing Ambrosia of Asclepius when he is confronted by the champion of Poseidon. As Kratos is delayed in battle, Ares’ champion moves ever closer to the prize sought. Can Kratos over come his attackers before time runs out?
God of War is based on the hit Sony Playstation video game series by the same name and tells the tale of Kratos, Sparta’s mightiest warrior and his adventures before he became a servant of the gods. This God of War comic is a prequel to the franchise and, just like the games, is rated for mature readers. For those of you, who are yet to play God of War 3, fear not. This comic spoils none of the game.
There’s a new New Teen Titans original graphic novel headed your way in 2010, and it pairs George Perez and Marv Wolfman together again.
“It’s all the regular Titans, obviously because the story was plotted back then it’s Troia, in that costume, Nightwing, Cyborg, Changeling, Danny Chase, Jericho, Starfire, and a number of others but they’re all there. This isn’t a big surprise,” said Marv Wolfman. “What this really is, is the uncovered story that had been done at the height of the Titans. And except for the actual dialoguing, that’s exactly what it is. Because as I said, George drew 80 of the pages back then.â€
More good news from DC!

Here’s something that is sure to get everyone talking at the San Diego Comic Con, DC scribe Geoff Johns has been named the producer for the live action Flash movie currently in development. Those that paid close attention to the news last year when Warner Bros. and DC were in conference about setting a direction for all future superhero projects may remember Geoff Johns, Marv Wolfman, and Grant Morrison were hired as consultants and writers. With Johns being named producer of the Flash, does that mean a Teen Titans and Superman producer announcements can’t be far behind?
The studio is taking pitches on sci-fi hero Adam Strange and the underwater-breathing hero “Aquaman,” to be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way shingle.
The rumor of the Aquaman project have been floating around since Entourage mocked the film some three years ago, so it will be interesting if that one lands in the pool of films coming out of the WB.
Also in the pipeline: “Bizarro Superman” being written by “Galaxy Quest” scribes David Howard and Robert Gordon; a sequel to “Constantine,” with Goldsman and Erwin Stoff producing; two concurrent Green Arrow projects, an origin story and a prison-set one titled “Super Max”; and “Shazam,” which was set up at New Line but has moved to Warners, with Pete Segal attached to direct.
The Hollywood Reporter article goes on to suggest that with all the DC Comics properties in development and production, that it might be a good idea to put all the DC properties under the direction of one super-executive, somewhat like Avi Arad and Marvel.

This time out, we got crises, we got kudos, we got barbarians, we got chainmail bikinis, and while Stephen and Matthew flashback to 1985, Rodrigo nods and thinks about larping… We got a little love for the alien penis beast (and really, who needs more love than the alien penis beast?) we got a little love for the floppy pamphlet (which actually sounds dirtier than alien penis beast) but most of all, we got a little love for Uncle Barry, Cousin Kara, and even the late, lamented Ten-Eyed Man. Strap on your rocket pack, straighten your cape, and prepare yourself for a new post-Crisis reality, where Matthew’s only one-tenth as strong, but Stephen’s cape is twice as long, and for some reason, Rodrigo has a hook for a hand, the Major Spoilers podcast is on the air!
