Marvel has announced a brand new Spider-Girl series that will only be available as a digital comic at Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited.  The series, which launches on April 15, 2009,  will be written by Tom DeFalco, and drawn by Ron Frenz.  If you don’t want to sign up for the digital comics version, Spectacular Spider-Girl will appear in Amazing Spider-Man Family #5 hitting stores on April 29, 2009. via Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited

Everyone’s favorite non-skrull female wall crawler is getting canceled.  Writer Tom DeFalco confirmed Amazing Spider-Girl will end with issue #30, currently scheduled for March 2009. Wrote DeFalco, “To those who predicted that Spider-Girl would never last, you were right. (You were off by a little over 11 years, but you were right.)” It is unclear where Spider-Girl will appear next, but apparently discussions are taking place to move Spider-Girl to the Amazing Spider-Man Family line. via Comic Book Resources
