Summer time means swimming pools, blockbuster movies, and comic book conventions.

Reality horror films have been around for decades now, with the Blair Witch Project still sending Matthew diving under the covers the instant the snot rocket scene appears. There have been a number of franchises that have used the found footage gimmick to put the scare into audiences, and get that well timed jump of fright.
Comic book match-ups often leave readers at odds with one another over who really won the big fight. Logan vs. Spider-Man? Juggernaut vs. Superman? Batman vs. Batman? It gets everyone worked up. So, let’s keep the dialogue going by asking the age old question, “Who would win in a fight?”
There have been a number of heroes to hold the mantle of The Green Lantern, and like The Flash before him, everyone seems to have their favorite. Which brings us to the Major Spoilers Poll of the Week!
VOTE! (after the jump)
While Major Spoilers moves ever forward to its funding goat (see more about it here), the promise of new and returning features has us jumping around the office in giddy anticipation of what could be.
Rodrigo and I had an interesting discussion the other night following a massively long recording of Muchkin Land – a fan podcast that celebrates the card game Munchkin from Steve Jackson Games. I know i didn’t need to explain the podcast to you, because you already listen to it faithfully as one of the Major Spoilerites. Regardless, the topic of being stuck in a boat in the middle of the ocean or stranded on an island worked its way into the conversation and Rodrigo raised an interesting question.
You may have heard, that Major Spoilers has launched a campaign to get raise our recurring memberships to ensure that all the great content you love from the company continues uninterrupted, and to bring lost projects back. One of our big rewards when we reach our goal is a new podcast exclusively for our $10.00/month members. We’ve been spending the last couple of months kicking around ideas that range from more real play gaming podcast, to a video review show, and something that is so incredible it will Blow Your Mind all the way to 2020. While we have an extensive list of shows we would LOVE to do, we realize that ultimately we are creating content for you, our fans, our readers, our listeners.
We value your input and thoughts, which brings us to the Major Spoilers Poll of the Week, that this week isn’t asking you to push a button, but rather to use the comment section to share your thoughts and ideas.
WHAT IS THE NEXT PODCAST YOU WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM MAJOR SPOILERS?
So there’s something big happening in this week’s Batman, Inc. #8, that will shake Batman down to his very soul… or something like that. Hey, it’s comics and we expect that “the event” will be short term anyway. When it comes to teams, Batman has a number of partners, which brings us to this week’s all important question.
When it comes to space travel, there are a couple of routes you can go. The first is the safe route, which means it takes 100 years or more to put a colony on the Moon, which is a good thing, because everyone knows the Moon blew up in 1999. The other is to seek out strange new worlds, and make a buck or two by smuggling spice for the Hutts. The second is a bit more reckless, but can lead to so much more in the end. Which brings us to the Major Spoilers Poll of the Week! (Week, week, weeek, weeeek, weeee, w…)
For the holiday season, I finally broke down and bought The Boy the Skylanders and Skylanders: Giants games that he had been begging for for the last year. We finally defeated Kaos this past weekend, and found the last two Giants figures he’s been wanting. Now I understand that there is a new Giants figure hitting stores soon, that The Boy already knows about, and a new Skylanders: Swap Force on the way with even more figures… which brings us to this week’s pressing poll.
Today, while driving through my sleepy little down, I spotted one of those “inspirational” window stickers proclaiming the three things you need in life. Do we really need three? Isn’t there more to life than that? And if there are more, is there one that is more important than the other?
Two men, enter, one man leaves, it’s the slug fest you’ve always thought about, but never had the time to voice your opinion on… until now!
