Remember the world before everything Lucas was sold to Disney, when Clone Wars was on TV? Well, you may also recall that LucasArts was in the process of developing the next video game set within the Star Wars mythos with Star Wars 1313. When the company was sold the game was scrapped and new projects were started. Concept art from the game has been revealed and now we can be doubly sad this game isn’t releasing.
With E3 having been this weekend, all sorts of game news is flooding the nets, but here’s one that is surprising a lot of people. The closing of LucasArts may not be as bad as initially expected as EA has announce that DICE, the guys behind Battlfield and Mirror’s Edge, will be making a new Star Wars: Battlefront title. The Emmy Award-nominated writer of such animated favorites as The Batman and X-Men has penned eight episodes of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, was credited as one of the writers of the animated film of the same name, and has written more than 4,000 lines of dialogue for the â€œStar Wars: The Clone Wars Lightsaber Duelsâ€ game for the Wii, which will be released by LucasArts on Nov. 11.
