Throw a stone at a collection of Major Spoilers Podcasts and you are bound to hit one where Old Man Schleicher (or as I call him, My Beloved Boss Who Pays Me) tells us how phenomenal Legends of the Dark Knight was. So now that DC has brought it back I had to check it out.

“They never should have cancelled Legends of the Dark Knight.” Those ten simple words have been a great “talking point” for Matthew as he provides commentary on my love for the series. But it looks like DC is taking “my words” to heart once again as the company announced it is bringing back Legends of the Dark Knight.

Top Five is a show where the hosts categorize, rank, compare, and stratify everything… from cars to gadgets to people and movies. From stuff that is hot, and things that are not nearly as interesting – it’s Top Five.
This week, there are things you wish would last forever, but alas, they get canceled long before they should have. Legends of the Dark Knight anyone?

With all the talk circulating around Doctor Hugo Strange as the big bad in the third Christopher Nolan Batman film, and the recent reveal that Dr. Strange is the heavy in the Batman: Arkham City trailer, it seems pretty clear that the psychologist is going to get a fair amount of attention in the coming years. The rumor has Nolan basing his Dark Knight Rises on the 1990 Prey storyline from Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, so what better time to examine the arc than now? And what better way to check the availability of the series than by diving in back issue bin at my local Hastings.

Have I told you how I hate the fact that DC canceled Legends of the Dark Knight? No? I’m sure Matthew wouldn’t mind me going on for a bit, but I’ll save that for another Major Spoilers Podcast where I can make Matthew jump about like an ape gone mad flinging poo at the floor and then rolling around it in. Instead, today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day showcases what might have been from Kelsey Shannon had DC allowed the series to continue.
Let’s return to the days of the cold war…

Batman Confidential has had a lot of ups and downs for me. On the one hand the series gives DC a chance to tell origin stories about Batman and his villains, tech, and history, but on the other hand, DC canceled Legends of the Dark Knight (I know, I’m a broken record). With the holiday weekend upon us, what better way to show our patriotism than having Batman take on the Russians, or more specifically, the KGBeast.
Now here’s an interesting development

For those following along with the many reviews Major Spoilers cranks out, my thoughts on Batman Confidential have been quite low as of late. However, something strange has happened with this Legends of the Dark Knight reboot that kept the series on my pull list – a good story.
The Joker goes to jail, and nothing will ever be the same…AGAIN!

In what appears to be tale inspired by or related to the Dark Knight movie, the latest issue of Batman Confidential shows what happened the first time Batman captured the Clown Prince of Crime and tossed him in the slammer.
