This January, KaBOOM! Studios launches ADVENTURE TIME: FIONNA AND CAKE, an all-new six issue all-ages limited series. The highly anticipated series will be written and illustrated by none other than the characters’ creator and ADVENTURE TIME storyboard artist Natasha Allegri with a full 32 page first issue.
There’s a new fanzine coming out called Waiting for October that focuses attention on one of the great shows from the ’90s – The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Joe Quinones is doing the cover for the magazine, and it is a trip down memory lane, and is totally inspired by the movie posters of Drew Struzan.
When I first saw Joe’s work on Supergirl, and then again all over a lot of other comics, including Dark Horse Comics’ Star Wars, I knew there was something special about his style. Today, we get a look at his take on G.I. JOE.
There’s a good chance this issue is already gone, but if you like Joe Quinones, dig on Star Wars, appreciate Norman Rockwell, AND you’re at the San Diego Comic Con, stop by Dark Horse’s booth and pick up this poster that Dark Horse was handing out at the Star Wars panel.
Flashpoint is a much talked about topic from the DC camp at the San Diego Comic Con, so I figured why not show a really nice piece of Flash art by Joe Quinones?
I’m still on a high after reading the most recent issue of Rocketeer Adventures from IDW Publishing, which brings us to today’s art piece by Joe Quinones.
I really like checking out Joe Quinones’ blog on a regular basis. He’s always posting interesting bits on the creation of images you find in your comic books. He did some work at the Emerald City Comic Con, and it makes our Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.

Comic convention season is the best, as it means a ton of sketches created by comic’s greatest artists. Today, it’s Joe Quinones’ and his take on Black Cat that he did at the Boston Comic Con.
Joe Quinones has a bunch of variant covers coming up for the Amazing Spider-Man series from Marvel. All are awesome, but I particularly like his take on Sandman.
I totally fell in love with the first issue of Hunter’s Fortune from Boom! Studios. Joe Quinones posted the cover to the final installment of the issue over at his website, and I can not wait to see how this series ends.
