REVIEW: Nova #1

Or – “So You Like Nova?  Let’s See If Marvel NOW! Can Fix That!”

There has been a lot of buzz about the new Nova, and a high-profile appearance (though a small one) in Avengers Vs. X-Men to get people excited.  On the one hand, I like me some Nova.  On the other hand, Jeph Loeb has, of late, been WILDLY, even maddeningly inconsistent as a creator.  Can this new Human Rocket fly as high as the old one?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: A + X #1

This title promotes a simple concept: one Avenger and one X-Men member team-up on an adventure. Some team-ups will draw on their similar backgrounds, like Captain America and Cable being time-lost soldiers. Other team-ups will share a history together, like Wolverine and the Hulk. However, can these two different sides get along after Avengers versus X-Men?

NYCC ’12: Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova become official

A whole slew of new books were announced last week at New York Comic Con. The exact figure comes somewhere close to the amount of Slave Leia’s that were cosplayed. I of course have no source for that little factoid, but it just seems right. Anyways, take the jump for two new series coming from Marvel in 2013.

MOVIES: Marvel and Sony announce Iron Man: Rise of Technovore

Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan (SPEJ) announced today the return of iconic Super Hero, Iron Man, to the beloved world of anime in an all-new feature-length film, IRON MAN: RISE OF TECHNOVORE.  Produced by Madhouse and currently in production in Japan, the film is slated for release on DVD in the spring of 2013.
