I’ve really been fuming lately over the stranglehold Diamond has over comics distribution in the United States. For instance, if you want to put a great superhero book out, if you’re not part of the “bigger” companies, they’ll flat-out reject your series, no matter how good it is. “Too many superhero books,” they say, as I’ve heard from several Indie comics creators. Well, maybe someone’s finally doing something about it!

Alterna Comics has announced a new quarterly comics and digital catalog and magazine that will highlight indie comics and creators of all types.

Jenn St-Onge is a Canadian, a artist and a woman on the upswing! She is currently working on the independent comic Finding Molly for EMET Comics in addition to commissions, fan art and pictures of cats. Jenn took some time out of her busy schedule to talk with Major Spoilers across timezones and share some insight about how she broke into the elusive comic book industry.
