RUMOR: Fialkov walks because DC wants to kill John Stewart?

News broke earlier this week that Joshua Hale Fialkov would be leaving “Green Lantern Corps” and “Red Lanterns” but the writer has spoken and it has led to speculation by some on the Internet on the nature of his departure.

REVIEW: Green Lantern Movie Prequel – Kilowog #1

Or – “Awright, Ya Poozers!”

I’ve been a fan of Kilowog since his first appearance (which, for those who aren’t aware, was AFTER the Crisis on Infinite Earths, when the GLC was just seven guys in California) and I’ve always enjoyed his antics.  In recent years, he’s become an amalgam of pig, squid and R. Review: Green Lantern #48

Or – “Didn’t Saint Walker Used To Work For Jabba The Hutt?”

Review: Green Lantern Corps #42

Or – “Don’t You Know What’s Goin’ On Out There? This Is No Sunday School Picnic!”

GLC1.jpg

Nekron’s legion of undead minions has cut a swath of lethal force across the universe, while the Guardians of the Universe (who are mostly to blame for all this) have been taken out by one of their own.  The only chance that the universe has right now are a few ring-slinging poozers who aren’t going down easy…  I wish I could bet on them winning.

Review: Blackest Night #1 (of 8)

Or – “They’re Coming To GET You, Barbara Gordon…  They’re COMING!”

BN2.jpg

It’s all been building up to this…  For months now, Scar has been moving behind the scenes, manipulating events, even tricking her fellow Guardians into doing her secret bidding, all so that she could surprise them with an EIGHTH Lantern Corps, one that owes more than a little bit to the works of George Romero and certain bits of Haitian lore.  The question is:  If every soldier killed joins the other side, what possible way is there to win the war?
