It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Major Spoilers. First, there was a holiday a couple weeks ago that threw everything out of whack. Then this past weekend, the Major Spoilers website packed up and moved to a brand new server (how do you like our new digs?), so our minds were a bit preoccupied with many things. Remember last week, when we learned that Paramount had yanked G.I. JOE: Retaliation from theaters? The official reason was to do some 3D-ifying to the flick to sell it to foreign audiences. Thanks to Deadline, we now know the real reason.

This is really surprising news – G.I. JOE: Retaliation was scheduled to arrive in theaters next month (June 29), but suddenly, Paramount has pulled the flick from the 2012 rotation and moved it to 2013.
