I hope I will never need to use the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, but I support everything the organization does. The org will be at WonderCon this weekend raising funds by selling an original Frank Quitely print for $20.

After weeks of watching Wall-E again and again – my son’s current favorite movie of the moment, I convinced him that we should sit down and watch All-Star Superman that arrived in the Major Spoilers HQ this past week. The pull to get him to agree was that it featured the death of Superman. It worked on him, and I would bet that the plot point works to bring others into the Morrison fold.

All Star Superman is getting the animated treatment, and now we have the first trailer for the film.
I never did finish the Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely book because it didn’t hit me in the right way. This trailer makes the story seem much more interesting, and I may have to read the rest of the series before the movie arrives just to see how much is/was changed.
New kicks from DC, Frank Quitely’s Batman statue, and a Proton Pack Backpack.

Trying something a bit different this week, as I finally got around to opening the latest Batman Black and White Statue from DC Direct. The latest is based on the work by Frank Quitely, and it is quite wonderful. So much so that I had to take it out in the wild to see what it looked like in the real world.
You may have seen this one already, but with all the cover text stripped away, Frank Quitely’s Batman and Robin #7 cover is even more creepy.

There is a great deal of Batman art hitting the DC pages today, and in order to get many more Facebook followers, the company posted two Frank Quietly pieces on the site.
Head over to the DC Nation Facebook page to see the other.
