A couple of weeks ago, we told you that 20th Century Fox was running the risk of losing the Daredevil property due to the director ditching the movie at the last minute.  There’s a new twist in the tale, that may have Marvel giving Daredevil a pass in order to get bigger characters.

MOVIES: Josh Trank really on board for Fantastic Four

Good news for Chronicle and Fantastic Four fans. Deadline is reporting that Josh Trank has officially been brought on board as the director for the Fantastic Four reboot.  More than likely this film will have no ties to the first two movies, and 20th Century Fox expects that Trank will direct the film as his next project, even though the director has been attached to a number of projects.

REVIEW: Fantastic Four #606

Or – “Thanks To Poor Typing, Spell-Check Wants To Call It Fat-Nasty Four.

In the last few months, the Fantastic Four have faced the Celestials, communed with Galactus, retrieved their lost fourth member from the depths of the Negative Zone and met their children from the future.  The team deserves a little time off, a break from the waves of destiny and catastrophe that have been buffeting them…

Major Spoilers Question Of The Day: The Face Of Doom Edition

Among the minor questions that plague comic book fans (after “Who’d win in a fight between X and Y?” and inappropriate queries about heroies’ romantic lives) comes in the expectation of what lies beneath Victor Von Doom’s steely mask.  Some (including Jack Kirby) favored the notion that a tiny scar caused perfectionist Doom’s rage against the various machines.  Others (including Stan Lee, based my readings) implied that Doom’s  face was terribly scarred in his college accident  John Byrne seemed to imply both back in the 80′s, with Doom preparing the mask because of a small imperfection, but suffering horrific burns when he donned it too soon after forging.  (Doom was the original hipster; he put on his mask BEFORE it was cool.)

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is a matter of taste: Doctor Doom’s face: Ravaged mess or imperceptible scarring?

REVIEW: Fantastic Four #603

Or – “The Great Book With The Spectacularly Unattractive Covers…”

Ever since Joe Quesada’s guest-shot wraparound cover for issue #600, I’ve been struck each month how weird some of the covers for the Fantastic Four title look.  Just glancing at this cover on the stands, I was confused as to why Reed Richards would take the time to cop a feel during a giant intergalactic crisis situation.  Maybe it’s just the coloring, but this issue’s cover is just flat weird looking…

So… How’s the actual book?
