REVIEW: Dynamo 5 – Sins Of The Father #4 (of 5)

Dynamo 5′s story is an intriguing one, as five unrelated people discover that each of them has a secret in common:  They all share a real father, and he was one of the premier superheroes of the day.  Captain Dynamo may be dead, but Smasher, Ramjet, Menagerie, Wraith and Supervision are carrying on his legacy, each in his or her own different way.  Of course, this leads to problems as well, since the government doesn’t trust five random kids, and has sent in their OWN super-team to get things done…

Review: Dynamo 5 #25

It’s been a while since I’ve done a full review checking in with the kids of Captain Dynamo, collectively known as Dynamo 5, the protectors of Tower City.  In the absence of their deadbeat dad, five young people have banded together to fight against their pop’s old villains, working with his widow and the government agency known as FLAG (The Foundation for Law and Government) as superheroes.  Recent months have seen the team break up, leaving super-strong Scrap alone to form her own new team.  After a brutal battle with some of the most horrible creatures in their father’s rogue’s gallery, the original team is back together again…  Just in time to get blindsided by their half-sister Synergy and her patron, the evil Father Gideon.

NYCC’09: Image Comics Complete Schedule Released

My jealousy for those able to attend all the great comic book convention continues to grow whenever I see the panel, signing, and booth schedules for the various publishers.  Image Comics has sent its rundown, and there are plenty of things for Image fans to do this weekend.

Throughout the convention the Image Comics booth will be home to signings galore, a convention exclusive cover of the superhero debut JERSEY GODS and an array of creators including Rob Liefeld (YOUNGBLOOD), Whilce Portacio (SPAWN), Frank Cho (LIBERTY MEADOWS), Richard Starkings (ELEPHANTMEN), Glen Brunswick (JERSEY GODS), Josh Williamson (JOHNNY MONSTER) and Vinny Navarette (DEAR DRACULA).
