REVIEW: Legion Of Super-Heroes #0

Or- “The Conclusion Is Inescapable, My Friends…”

Querl Dox isn’t your average super-hero type.  His only real combat power comes from his force-shield belt, and he doesn’t expend much energy on fighting techniques or fisticuffs.  His power lies in his 12th-level computer brain, the better to analyze all possibilities and outcomes, and also snarkily poke at his teammates and friends.

Oh, and also?  He’s the descendant of one of the most terrible, murderous tyrants the galaxy has ever encountered.  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: DC Universe Presents #0

Or – “Their Stories Continue, Even If Their Books Tanked…”

Many years ago, I came to the sad conclusion that my favorite titles won’t ever be big sellers with the general public.  Because of that sad paradigm, it came to be that I was reading and enjoying roughly 60% of the cancelled product of the New 52 thus far.  Although I didn’t read much beyond the first issue of Blackhawks, I appreciated their pedigree, and I have to say that it’s good to see O.M.A.C., Mister Terrific and Deadman again.  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

Oh, and Hawk & Dove are also in this issue.

REVIEW: Sword Of Sorcery #0

Or – “I’m Just Hoping It’s Not Twilight With Swords…”

I’ve been excitedly waiting for this issue ever since they announced that Amethyst was returning to comics, even if it was without Ernie Colón.  With the additional revival of minor 70′s swordsman Beowulf, I have hopes that this book won’t disappear like O.M.A.C. or Static did.  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: Batwoman #0

Or – “The Immediacy Of First-Person Dialogue…”

I am saddened to say that, of all the comics I’m behind reading, I’m probably furthest behind on Batwoman.  The last thing I remember reading was issue #4, and then there’s a huge blur.  I looked up from that comic in a brand-new year, and suddenly it’s nearly October.  Will Batwoman still hold the same power after a prolonged absence?  There’s only one way to find out, as your Major Spoilers review awaits!

GAMING: Gods Among Us has a new trailer

Neatherrealm debuted a new trailer for Gods Among Us at the Tokyo Game Show this week and now we are passing along the goodness.

Can we all just scream “‘Eff Yeah!” together? That is just a whole lot of fanboy goodness wrapped into one game. Gods Among Us is slated to release during April of 2013 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

REVIEW: Legion Lost #0

Or – “Let’s See What His Origin Is This Time!”

As a Legion of Super-Heroes fan, you get used to the timestream changing.  There’s a reason why it takes at least five minutes to clarify WHICH Wildfire, Timber Wolf or Saturn Girl you’re a fan of.  This issue promises to retell the origins of Brin Londo, late of the planet Zuun, but will it be a story with which I’m familiar or will it be all new?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: Superboy #0

Or – “I Still Remember The FIRST Superboy #0.”

The New 52 has made a lot of changes to a lot of characters, but none is as welcome as finally seeing Superboy in a costume that wasn’t horribly dated within seven minutes of its creation.  Will the REST of this special origin issue make readers as happy?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: Deathstroke #0

Or – “The Cover Does Not Fill Me With Hope.”

I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of Rob Liefeld, but even I have to say that it’s impressive to see him staying in steady work for over 25 years in the volatile comic industry.  A highly controversial creator, it seems everybody has an opinion on Rob, and his New 52 work has been no exception.  One thing that has become VERY clear that he has a deep love for Slade Wilson as a character, but will that translate into a good comic?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: Stormwatch #0

Or – “I Just Hope It’s Better Than The First Stormwatch #0…”

I have fallen behind in most of my comics reading over the summer, as reality has knocked a hole in what I laughing refer to as my spare time.  Worse than that, I can’t remember anything that happened in Stormwatch since about issue #4.  Hopefully that won’t damage my enjoyment of this #0 flashback issue, ’cause your Major Spoilers review awaits!
