Or – “At Least They’re Committed To Multiple Genres…”
Many people (including Major Spoilers’ own Stephen) have been voicing dissatisfaction with the proliferation of superhero titles on the stands, though it’s hardly a new issue. I recall the same complaints abounding when I began reading comics back in the early 1980s, and I find it admirable that DC’s New 52 relaunches included a western, a couple of sorta-war titles as well as books aimed at younger readers. We’ve seen almost all of Batman’s villains appear in the Bat-titles, but until today, we hadn’t seen Mr. Freeze. Good news, we won’t have to wait that much longer.

The creative team announcements continue to roll out of DC Comics, which seems to be a way the company is keeping things relatively fresh for new readers. With Jeff Lemire moving to Justice League Dark, where does that leave Peter Milligan?

With the announcement that DC Comics is canceling six of their New 52 titles to make way for six new titles, one has to wonder if the writing was on the wall, since the beginning, and what approach the company might take going forward?

Hot on the heels of the news that Power Girl and Huntress are becoming the World’s Finest in Earth 2, DC Comics has announced the official next wave of New 52 titles.
