DC Comics announces Retro-Active

If you aren’t getting enough Silver and Bronze Age goodness in your current runs of The Flash and Green Lantern, DC Comics VP of Sales, Bob Wayne announced Retro-Active this past weekend at WonderCon ’11 in San Francisco.
Published throughout July and August 2011, these are exactly the kinds of one-shots people often associate with summer. RETRO-ACTIVE reunites classic writers and artists with classic characters Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Justice League of America, returning to the interpretations they are best known for.
Don’t think that this series will only cover the heroes in their ’70s stylings, the series will feature three one-shots from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
MOVIE: Justice League movie will be stand alone

To answer the question on everyone’s mind regarding the just announced 2013 Justice League movie, director Zack Snyder tells fans that the movie will in no way be connected to his Superman movie, nor the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Rises flick.
‘It doesn’t. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they’ll kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool’
This could possibly be a big sigh of relief for many as it means the Justice League movie can go into production without having to wait for The Flash or Wonder Woman films to be made first.
Regardless of what happens, I’m just hoping the movie is awesome-sauce on top of incredible.
TELEVISION: Wonder Woman costume redux
Been pretty busy today with some other things that need to take priority, but I did manage to see the new Wonder Woman costume worn by Adrianne Palicki on the set of the Wonder Woman television series.

Most of the problems people had with the original costume have been tweaked, refined, or fixed.
- Boots – no more high heels
- Pants – no longer shiny
- Boots – RED!
What do you think now?
ON THE NEXT MAJOR SPOILERS PODCAST: Justice League International Volume 1

This week, on the Major Spoilers Podcast Stephen, Rodrigo, and Matthew take a look at Giffen and DeMatteis’ Justice League International, Volume 1.
In the late 1980s, writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis redefined the Justice League of America with these unique, humorous tales, collected for the first time since their original comic-book publication.
With Batman, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and other quirky heroes of the DC Universe, the team battles the colony of spaceships known only as the Cluster, then must track their missing comrade, Mister Miracle to the dread planet Apokolips. And when our heroes arrive back on Earth, they must contend with the new Queen Bee and the return of Lobo.
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL Vol. 1 collects the first seven issues of Giffen and DeMatteis’s run. In these pages, the new, untested team faces off against terrorists holding the United Nations hostage, three otherworldly beings bent on destroying the world’s entire nuclear weaponry, the mystical and frightening Gray Man, and the Royal Flush Gang. Also weaving in and out of the picture is the mysterious Maxwell Lord, who seems to be pulling some serious strings in the shadows…
