This title promotes a simple concept: one Avenger and one X-Men member team-up on an adventure. Some team-ups will draw on their similar backgrounds, like Captain America and Cable being time-lost soldiers. Other team-ups will share a history together, like Wolverine and the Hulk. However, can these two different sides get along after Avengers versus X-Men?
Image’s series of guest variants for IMAGE UNITED continues this February with a cover by Pitt creator Dale Keown. The all-new image will adorn the third issue of the six-issue miniseries by Image’s founders and will be available both in color and in black and white.

Dale Keown’s character, Pitt returns to comics in August as part of The Darkness/Pitt crossover event.Â The three-issue series will be written by Paul Jenkins with art by Keown.
The story behind The Darkness/Pitt follows Pitt and his human half-brother Tim on their mission to New York to track down those infected by an alien virus.Â But mob boss and current bearer of the mystical power of The Darkness, Jackie Estacado, doesnâ€™t permit anything to go down in his neighborhood unless he knows about it.Â When the two forces attract the unwanted attention of the Federal Government, mayhem ensues!
â€Darkness/Pitt has been a labor of love but it has been well worth it. As always, Iâ€™m excited to work with Dale on Jackie Estacado, a character weâ€™re so familiar with, and Iâ€™m gratified heâ€™s allowed me the opportunity to work with characters so near and dear to his heart in Pitt and Tim,â€ commented writer Jenkins in a prepared statement, â€œThe book looks as beautiful as I always hoped it would, and I trust fans will forgive me for bringing a voice to some of Daleâ€™s most beloved creations.â€

With an eye toward recruiting top creators as part of their exclusive partnership, Archaia and Roddenberry Productions have brought on writer Phil Hester (Firebreather, The Darkness, Green Arrow), artist Frazer Irving (forthcoming Batman and Robin arc, Seven Soldiers of Victory) and cover artist Dale Keown (The Incredible Hulk, Pitt) to create the first issue of Days Missing, a new five-issue mini-series continuing Roddenberryâ€™s tradition of producing sophisticated, intelligent and entertaining science fiction.
In an effort to give as many readers an opportunity to discover this exciting new mini-series, Archaia will offer the full-length, full-color issue #1 for just 99 cents when it arrives in stores this August.
