Constantine star Matt Ryan reprises his role on Arrow this week and in an interview with Comicbook.com today he left a message for fans of the late NBC show. These fans have taken to calling themselves Hellblazers in homage to the Vertigo Comics series where John Constantine first debuted. #ConstantineOnArrow and #Hellblazers are the hashtags to use and follow on Twitter when Matt Ryan makes his appearance this Wednesday at 8/9pm on Arrow. The CW announced at the Television Critics Association press tour presentation on Tuesday that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine (from the recently cancelled NBC series), in the fourth season of the DC flagship show Arrow. CW President Mark Pedowitz announced that Constantine will appear in Arrow episode 4.5 titled Haunted – a title that feels stunningly appropriate for the character. By now, you’ve probably heard the news that NBC has decided to pass on a second season of Constantine. Fans, and producers, are both hoping the show will land at another network, leading us all to a happily ever after moment. But what network? With CW running many of the Warner Bros./DC Comics properties, it seems to be the front runner, though SyFy’s name has been dropped a time or two due to the NBC tie, as well ask the coming Krypton series.
