The 1981 Sean Connery movie Outland is getting a remake thanks to Warner Bros. The original western space adventure was set on one of Jupiter’s moons, where a marshall (Connery) investigated a series of mysterious deaths, and had to take on the colony’s corporate administrators when no one else on the moon would help him.  It was an interesting piece of film – nothing spectacular, and right on par with the 1981 space movie mentality.  The remake will be quite different. Did anyone pay really close attention to the set during last night’s “Big Bang Theory” of scenes set in the comic book shop?  Obviously a lot of DC stuff is going to be around (CBS and Time/Warner have a lot of deals together), but last night there were a plethora of Dark Horse and Image comic properties around the set.  What about Marvel?  From what I could tell, there was nary a scrap.  Is there a conspiracy afoot?  Is someone not playing ball? Did someone fail to slip the money under the table? Discuss.

Producers John Wells and Don Murphy have optioned The Forgotten to be turned into a feature film. The comic centers on a man who, no matter what he does or whom he meets, is forgotten five minutes later. While it gives him great power and leeway as far as investigations and problem-solving, it leaves him incredibly alone. When the son of a long-lost friend is charged wrongly with murder, he uses his powers to get to the bottom of a conspiracy. Since it is only optioned at this point, there is no writer, director, star, or release date announced. via
