One thing that stands out about the first Die Hard movie is how long it took to get to the end of the first act. It wasn’t until John McClane hot footed it across the hallway to the stairwell that the action finally took off. Once those first 30 minutes passed, the film turned into one heck of an action flick. For Boom! Studios’ Die Hard: Year One, issue three marks the beginning of the action.

This December Image Comics presents the last night of New York’s most dangerous night club, FORGETLESS, courtesy of writer Nick Spencer and artists W. Scott Forbes, Marley Zarcone & Jorge Coehlo.
“FORGETLESS is akin to Rashomon in a night club, just with a lot more bullets,” Spencer said. “In a way, FORGETLESS may be the first action-thriller perfect for fans of the films ‘Go!’ and ‘Igby Goes Down’, especially with how Scott, Marley & Jorge’s styles each combine different aspects of indie and blockbuster action comics. FORGETLESS will certainly be a night to remember.”

Of the three Atomic Robo story arcs we’ve been presented with so far, this one has been the one to really warp your mind to the point where you had better understand a little about theoretical physics, or know all the intricacies of Back to the Future 1, 2, and 3, plus the animated series, and that ride at Universal Studios in order to keep your sanity. It helps of course that the creators inject their likeness into the story to really tie it together nicely.

This issue: Stephen ponders why space travel and alien technology doesn’t play a bigger role in the comic book universe building.

Press Release
This Thursday (September 10, 2009), the acclaimed sci-fi series, ELEPHANTMEN, will give readers a chance to jump on board as participating stores receive a special 25% overship.
“I’m so glad we’re overshipping this particular issue, because I want it to get into as many people’s hands as possible,” Starkings said. “We’ve sold out of EVERY issue since #16 – the Marian Churchland issues were a huge hit – and our numbers have been holding very steady since we returned to our regular monthly schedule with our series of standalone stories, DANGEROUS LIAISONS. I envision ten hefty ELEPHANTMEN collections by the time we’re done, so readers have a lot to look forward to.”
