We’ve all seen the Hasbro Mighty Muggs based off the Star Wars univers – heck my son has a couple in his room right now – and now you have a chance to win an original Star Wars Mighty Mugg and help out a good cause.  Lucasfilm asked artists, comic book creators, toy designers, and celebrities to create their own Star Wars Mighty Mugg and put them up for auction to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

For the first time ever the DEFINITIVE retrospective of Ramona Fradon’s 45 year career will be presented in The Ramona Fradon Storyteller Book. The Ramona Fradon Storyteller Book will be a hardcover book with over 200 full-color pages to highlight the magnificent career of artistic legend, plus never-before-seen sketches and character designs.

TwoMorrows Auctions Alan Moore Book to Aid Hero Initiative

TwoMorrows Publishing is auctioning off a limited edition hardcover copy of their new book, The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore: Indispensable Edition, autographed by “Watchmen” and “V For Vendetta” author Alan Moore. All proceeds from this auction go to THE HERO INITIATIVE, a federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated to helping comic book creators in need. The auction can be found on eBay.

Trade Up to Fantastic Four #1

Remember that guy that traded a paperclip all the way up to a house?  Marvel looks like it is doing something similar with its Take My Trade campaign to benifit the HERO Initiative.

Marvel Comics Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, one of the comic industry’s most prolific personalities, is proud to present TAKE MY TRADE, a groundbreaking quest to trade up to a copy of Fantastic Four #1! Pioneered by Brevoort’s critically-acclaimed Blah Blah Blog at Marvel.Com, this event allows fans to trade their comics with Brevoort so he can find a comic worthy of being traded for an original FF #1, which will then be donated to charity via The HERO Initiative. All comics remaining at the end of this event, which continues throughout 2009, will be auctioned by The HERO Initiative to aid in the welfare of less fortunate comic book creators. Plus, every participant in this event received a Certificate of Meaninglessness, personally signed by Brevoort himself!

IDW Sale This Saturday
