CONVENTIONS: Gina Torres set to appear at Wizard World Philadelphia

Actress Gina Torres, who played “Zoë Washburne” in “Firefly,” and Serenity, will attend Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, joining fellow cast members Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, and Jewel Staite at the event, set for May 30 – June 2 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

CONVENTIONS: Aspen announces Long Beach Comic Expo plans

Aspen Comics will be appearing at this weekend’s Long Beach Comic Expo on Saturday, May 11th, and will be offering exclusive Aspen convention items and more for the one-day event. Aspen creators Frank Mastromauro (Shrugged, Overtaken), Peter Steigerwald (Zoo Hunters, Soulfire), Vince Hernandez (Charismagic, Executive Assistant: Assassins), Mark Roslan (BubbleGun, Broken Pieces), Beth Sotelo (Fathom, Shrugged), David Wohl (Legend of the Shadow Clan, Fathom) and Jonathan Marks (Shrugged) will be appearing all day long at the Aspen Comics Booth and will be available for signatures and free sketches.

C2E2: Spider-Man 2099 arrives in September

Last year, when Dan Slott was teasing the heck out of the then upcoming Superior Spider-Man, he made a comment about Miguel O’Hara making an appearance.  Fans of Spider-Man 2099 having been waiting for that appearance to occur, and at C2E2 this weekend, it was revealed not if, but when the characters makes his appearance.

C2E2: Wolverine: Killable

As is hinted at in the upcoming Wolverine movie, Logan just wants to be an average ordinary guy. While we won’t know the fate of the Hugh Jackman character for a while yet, Marvel is getting into the powering down of Wolverine in August with “Killable” by Paul Cornell and Alan Davis.

C2E2: Aw Yeah… Hellboy
