JOE team members still operating undercover in the wake of many of their identities being exposed to the public. Tying directly into the story of Fred Van Lente and Steve Kurth’s G.I. Airboy returns in January 2010

Dynamite Entertainment opens the Stargate for comic fans

Dynamite Entertainment, comic book publisher, announced a new agreement with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) for a comics and series of graphic novels based on the long-running Stargateâ„¢ television franchise.

Based on the hit 1994 feature from MGM Pictures, the Emmy® nominated Stargate SG-1™ premiered in 1997 and spawned Stargate Atlantis™ in 2004. Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, are currently on air around the world and are watched by over millions each week.  Stargate Universe™, the latest series for the franchise debuts stateside on October 2nd.

IDW Publishing Extends Two G.I. Joe Series

It’s the year of  G. I. JOE!  Building on the tremendous fan support of G.I. JOE: Origins and G.I. JOE: COBRA, published under license from Hasbro, Inc., IDW is pleased to announce extensions for both mini-series! Offering a look at the people who make up the team, G.I. JOE: Origins will become an ongoing series, starting in August. G.I. JOE: COBRA Special #1 will be released in September, offering insights inspired by revelations in issue #4 of that series, on-sale in June. For more information about IDW’s G.I. IDW Launces Three GI Joe Titles in January

(San Diego, CA; January 13, 2009) – This month IDW Publishing debuts the singularly titled G.I. JOE, the first of three initial comic book series in which the elite military force G.I. JOE and COBRA are fully revitalized and re-established for a new generation of fans.

IDW set the stage with a kick-off issue, G.I. JOE #0, released in October, 2008, after it was announced that IDW had reached a deal with Hasbro to re-launch the G.I. JOE comic book franchise.
