Marvel sent us a sneak peek of Cable & X-Force #8 by Dennis Hopeless and Salvador Larroca, that you can check out, after the jump.
Cable and his team have prevented the release of a terrible virus, saving humans, mutants and the future. Unfortunately, only they know the truth. The rest of the world thinks they are mutant terrorists. On the run from the government and the Avengers, they hide out in Mexico. Can Cable and X-Force clear their names before it is too late or, is there something more sinister over the horizon?
Cable and X-Force (not to be confused with Uncanny X-Force) have not been on the side of the angels. The last time Cable appeared in the Marvel Universe, he was trying to kill the Avengers. His X-Force is not much better. Most sided with Cyclops during Avengers vs. X-Men (A vs. X) crossover, including Colossus who was one of the Phoenix Five that tore up the world. With Cable’s time traveling knowledge, is he trying to stop a terrible future or creating one?
Cable and X-Force is the second of Dennis Hopeless’s books out this week. Do the adventures of time-hopping one-eyed semi-cyborg and his band of misfits have enough juice to keep them ahead of the pack? This Major Spoilers review has the answer.

Marvel has announced that Ed McGuinness is providing the cover art for the upcoming Avengers X-Sanction #1. And since it has been too long since we’ve featured McGuinness in the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day, now seems like the best time.
Marvel sent over a comic shop only variant cover for the upcoming Avengers: X-Sanction #1.
If you were still trying to figure out Marvel’s cryptic teaser image, you don’t have to burn anymore brain cells as it’s been announced that Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness are bringing Cable back in Cable Reborn.
Marvel’s EIC Axel Alonso believes that Cable will be one of “breakout” Marvel characters of 2012, and Loeb is just happy to be back doing one of the characters that worked on when he first came to Marvel, back in the day (the early 1990s) when comics were still “on paper,” as he jokingly put it.
You’re going to have to wait a little longer than the above paragraph lets on, as Cable Reborn is expected to arrive in December 2012.
