William Dunn sent me a quick e-mail to let me know about a new paint blog he’s started on Flickr showcasing his background work on Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Not only do you get to see the environments the animated characters move around in, you also get a lot of insight into the process, and behind the scenes info.
Yes, issue #22 of Batman: The Brave and the Bold is ending in November. The good news is The All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold is headed our way from writer Sholly Fisch and Rick Burchett. The first two issues feature Superman and Shazam! teaming with the caped crusader. And by Shazam! I’m hoping DC really means Captain Marvel and not the wizard Shazam, but really, Batman teaming with the wizard would be pretty cool, too.
Last I check, the fishman was trying to steal the hearts and souls of his loved one as parts of his body decomposed. For those who would rather remember the King of Atlantis in his hey day, check out the cover to the upcoming Brave and the Bold #32.
This week sees the debut of a new episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold – one of the few really good animated shows my son will sit through. I’m interested to see his reaction to the One Man Army Corps when Buddy Blank and Brother Eye appear in this week’s episode. Here’s a sneak peek, featuring Hawk and Dove, doing what they do so well.
