It’s time to meet Bizarro! Lex Luthor decides to try and best Superman yet again. This time, it’s through the wonders of cloning, creating everyone’s favorite grey-skinned, fire-breathing, ice-vision shooting, Superman-clone. Is it all worth it in the end? Yes. Is that answer in Bizarro speak? Maybe. More after the jump!
Remember the classic Bizarro cartoon of yesteryear? Of course you don’t, that’s why Rob Pratt decided to create one in the same style as his Super Classic from a year or so ago.
You have to watch this, it is full of awesome. The only downside is that it is so, so, so short.
Rob, the response is good – MAKE MORE NOW!
Over the years comics have given us a staggering number of alternate realities, many of them just thinly veiled excuses to put our favorite superheroes into improbable situations with minimum clean-up. But sometimes alternate realities and alternate futures yield something more, sometimes they accomplish exactly what they should; to allow us to examine a character under a different light. What follows is a list of the best, most successful or so-ridiculous-they-come-back-out-the-other-side-and-are-cool-again characters from alternate dimensions or futures. To make it on this list a character had to be A) interesting B) be from the same company or creator that owns its originator character and C) not be from the Marvel Apes universe.
More characters are popping up for the upcoming DC Universe Online game, this time it’s Bizarro.
It was a very close contest, with Bizarro and Two-Face coming in at a tie by the end of public voting on Tuesday. The tie was decided in a manner that Two-Face would have appreciated – by a coin toss. Matthew and I called it in the air, and by a vote of 419 to 418, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the winner of the 2nd Annual Major Spoilers Costume Contest…after the jump.
I posted a quick update about the Major Spoilers Dark Knight 2 Limited Edition Contest the other day, allowing contestants to enter as many times as they like, providing there is someone different in each picture. Julian took us up on the new deal and has turned in a few pics from San Diego Comic Con.
I gotta give Julian credit, he had the balls to go up to some well known names, take a photo, and enter the contest.
Who did Julian get his pics taken with? Take the jump to find out, and see who you are up against in the Major Spoilers Dark Knight 2 contest.
If you put your comic books down and pick up next week’s Sports Illustrated, you might be startled to see Bizarro making an appearance on the cover.
The cover, by comic book superstar Mark Bagley, takes a look at the “Bizarro Baseball Season†and features a member of the Tampa Bay Rays knockin’ the stuffing out of everyone’s favorite Yankee, Derek Jeter. Despite the headline, this marks the first time a DC character has appeared on the cover of SI.
If you aren’t into sports, you can catch Bagley’s work in DC’s new weekly series Trinity.
