Though we won’t get to (legally) see Item 47 until the Avengers collected Blu-ray set arrives later this year, Marvel has released a sneak peek of the 12-minute short film for all to check out.
S.H.I.E.L.D. recovered all but one… a Chitauri weapon, aka “ITEM 47.” After a young couple, Benny (Jesse Bradford) and Claire (Lizzy Caplan), stumble into finding the elusive weapon, they embark on a bank robbing spree. With S.H.I.E.L.D. agents (LOST’s Titus Welliver and AVENGERS’s Maximiliano Hernandez) hot on their trail, it’s only a matter of time before the couple have to pay for their crimes.
When the massive Avengers collected Blu-ray edition arrives, a new short film will be included called Item 47. Fans who were lucky enough to follow the clues, got a special screening at the San Diego Comic-Con, and from the reports, it sounds like a great 12 minute short.
