There has been quite a bit of fury aimed at this book, seeing as how we’ve taken a large number of Marvel characters, some with full-fledged back-stories and fans, and pitted them against one another in a head-to-head deathmatch, all orchestrated by a version of Arcade fully unlike any we’ve seen before…  Will this issue finally pull back the shroud of what’s REALLY going on, or just more bodies added to the count?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

REVIEW: Avengers Arena #4

Marvel NOW!’s most controversial title rolls on with issue #4 in the series. With a kill-or-be-killed plot straight out of Battle Royale, Marvel’s teenage heroes have quickly encountered the deaths of friends and the desperation of captivity. Last issue ended with a hum-dinger of a cliffhanger and the promise of more grief for the fans of these heroes. MARVEL NOW! Marvel reveals title behind Survive teaser, and it’s Battle Royale

Marvel has revealed the book behind the Survive teaser that ran last week, and that I jokingly said would be a zombie title.  Instead of going the obvious route, Marvel is looking overseas and borrowing heavily from the movie and manga series Battle Royale, all the way down to the cover for the first issue.
