At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, art and comic fans have one more must on their lists, as IDW Publishing announced today that world-renowned artist and creator Ashley Wood will be a special guest at the convention. Headquartered at the IDW Booth #2643, Ashley will hold regular signings, and be featured in a spotlight panel, hosted by IDW’s co-founder and chief executive officer, Ted Adams. Ashley fans can also look forward to an impressive array of exclusive or hard to find items, including toys and books.

Blurring the line between the living and the dead, IDW is proud to launch a new comic series from writer El Torres (Zombies!: Eclipse of the Undead) and artist Gabriel Hernandez (Clive Barker’s The Thief of Always). The Veil, with the first issue available in stores today, chronicles Chris Luna, a private eye whose clients are all dead. Unable to make a living, she is forced to move back to Maine and confront the darkness lurking in her sleepy hometown.

Ten years ago this month, four young entrepreneurs launched a small creative services company. A decade later, IDW has grown to be the fourth-largest comic book and graphic novel publisher, with a diverse catalog of new and classic books, representing every major entertainment genre. To commemorate its tenth anniversary, the company will release the two-volume hardcover IDW: The First Decade in May, 2009.
