CONVENTION: Walking Dead variant cover debuts at Wizard World St. Louis

Combining the legends of Robert Kirkman and his groundbreaking, Eisner Award-winning comic book series, The Walking Dead, and Arthur Suydam’s unique and prolific work in the zombie genre led to the second in a series of exclusive Wizard World variant covers of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead #1 comic, provided for free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, March 22-24 at America’s Center. Wizard World and Skybound, Kirkman’s imprint at Image Comics, have teamed to produce the line.
Mid-Ohio-Con names Arthur Suydam as special guest

Mid-Ohio-Con announced that acclaimed artist Arthur Suydam has joined the guest roster for Mid-Ohio-Con 2010. “We are very pleased to add Arthur to the Mid-Ohio-Con 2010 guest list. We’ve really dialed things up for our 30th anniversary and we’re looking forward to an amazing turnout on the weekend of November 6-7, 2010 in Columbus, OH.” said James Henry, Managing Director of Mid-Ohio-Con.
Arthur Suydam to appear at Long Beach Comic Con
The Hero Initiative has announced that Marvel artist Arthur Suydam will appear at the 2nd Annual Long Beach Comic Con as their special guest. If you like your zombies all zombified and horrific, Suydam will be in artist alley for the duration of the show to meet and chat with fans. No word if he will be doing sketches or selling art, but it seems like a good way to get some of your comics signed.

SDCC ’09: Radical shows off Arthur Suydam statue at Comic-Con

Majestic, battle-ready and ruthless, Arthur Suydam’s beloved antiheroes Cholly & Flytrap are finally physically realized with a gorgeous and detailed bronze figurine to be displayed at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International 2009. Hand sculpted by Suydam himself, this figurine is the first of a very limited signed and numbered quantity to be produced by Radical Toyz, a wholly owned subsidiary of Radical Publishing. The figurine displays Cholly sitting on top of his sumo-sized companion Flytrap heading off into incredible action, adventure or trouble that comes their way.

Hosted by Ain’t It Cool News’ founder and head geek, Harry Knowles, the Radical Creators Panel will treat fans to a preview of upcoming Radical projects as well as the opportunity to hear some exclusive announcements on Friday, July 24th from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. in Room 4. During the Radical Publishing panel at the 2009 New York Comic Con, Radical Publishing president Barry Levine made two interesting, and quite possibly two smart moves for the small-ish publisher.
Radical Offers Limited Edition 3D Cover at NYCC’09
Radical Publishing will give away a special limited and numbered 3-D edition of its New York Comic-Con ashcan to convention-goers who attend its all-star preview panel at the show. Featuring a special 3-D cover and glasses, this rare edition, limited to 300 copies, is only available as a FREE gift to attendees of the panel, hosted by Rick Marshall of MTV Splash Page, on Saturday, February 7th at 5:15 p.m. in room 1A07.
