If you have high hopes for the upcoming Justice League movie, you might want to do some pre-soothing activities by checking out this Justice League image from Des Taylor. Love this look so much! via Des Taylor
One of my all-time favorite Disney attractions is the Enchanted Tiki Room. The audio-animatronic attraction first opened in 1963, and featured 77 birds, 136 flowers and 12 tiki drummers. There’s something about the singing birds and a room that comes alive that always brings a smile to my face. The birds have been updated over time, but some of the original birds are out there and need to be restored.
The Doctor Strange movie will be upon us sooner than we think, and the mere thought of the coming movie had me jump into the Internet looking for a cool piece of Doctor Strange art. I found a really nice one by Christopher Stevens.
I’m super excited over the news that Matt Wagner will write and draw The Death of Margo Lane mini-series for Dynamite Entertainment. If you’ve never seen his work on The Shadow before, then you are in for a treat in today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.
I wanted to follow a favorite of a favorite of a favorite, but got distracted by the whole Batman v Superman turn over the last couple of days. Fortunately, I can go down the DeviantArt rabbit hole, and keep the Batman theme, with this tiny team-up between Iron Man and Batman, thanks to this wonderfully fun piece by Jon Sommariva.
If you’re gonna feature Batman in the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day (especially in this election season), you’d better feature his opponent, Superman. Thanks to Francesco Francavilla it’s simple to fulfill the equal time requirement.
One of the nice things about Deviant Art is it gives you the ability to see who other artists are following. And, if you spend enough time going down that rabbit hole, you will see what inspires and motivates the artist. On Friday we took a look Niken Anindita’s wonderful work, and today, we take a look at someone she favorited – Jereme Peabody.
