There are few artists whose work I could stare at for hours. Francesco Francavilla is one of them, and his latest Batman inspired piece is a marvel to behold.

I’m still on a high after reading the most recent issue of Rocketeer Adventures from IDW Publishing, which brings us to today’s art piece by Joe Quinones.

Here’s Dustin Nguyen’s take on the Bat Family that is included in his new sketchbook.

I’m on a kick lately where I am actively seeking out modern art that has a retro movie poster feel to it. Ron Salas created today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day entry with this mock poster for Johnny Recon by Mitch Gerads and Scott Dillon.
Today’s installment features art by Edgar Delgado from the cover of Venom #17. Things don’t look to good for Spidey.

Too often, people get locked into one style of art and close their minds to all other interpretations of the human (or alien) form. The point of the art appreciation moments is to take a look at what everyone else is doing, and reflect upon the work. It might bring to mind good thoughts or bad, disgust or adoration – the bottom line is you’ve been exposed to that work and thus should gain a greater appreciation to all art in general.
Today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day comes from Adriana Ferguson, who’s been a great friend to the Major Spoilers site, and the Major Spoilers Podcast. When not co-hosting the Super Future Friends Podcast, and working her day job, she’s cranking out her own art. We just talked about Adriana’s “We Are Legion” sketchbook that arrived at the Major Spoilers HQ this week, so we thought it would be nice to take a look at some of her other work. In today’s installment, we find Bruce Wayne comforting Dick Grayson. It’s a nice quiet moment and Adriana’s art shines here.

I enjoy looking at fairly well known comic book artists doing original work for others. Today, Dominic Marco tackles a concept character by another writer. Plus there’s a bonus image, that you can only see after the jump!

Check out these GI Joe pieces by Dave Perillo, they look a great deal like works of Jay Ward (think Moose und Squirrel), and they rock.
Take the jump for a peak at Cobra!

LEGO Star Wars is like when you got your chocolate in my peanut butter, but without chocolate or peanut butter. Still, I’ve always liked this toy franchise, and when Mike Stimpson takes a mini-fig Stormtrooper and turns it into a work of art, it warrants being featured in this daily site segment.

Haven’t featured Dustin Nguyen’s work on the site in a while, so why not feature the cover to Batman: Streets of Gotham #7? It’s a perfect time to showcase his latest work.

Who’s still following Gotham City Sirens? Guillem March does the cover for issue #8, which makes for a great opportunity to feature his work as today’s entry for the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.
