Mouse Guard is a terrific comic that excels at unique storytelling. Every so often, it’s creator, David Petersen, let’s others play in his sandbox. That’s the premise behind this special four-issue miniseries from Archaia. The first Legends of the Guard was the 2011 Eisner Award winner for best anthology. I expected great things from this first issue as well!
I was surprised at the recent news that BOOM! Studios had acquired Archaia Entertainment. I enjoy the product both have created and look forward to seeing that continue since the latter will now be an imprint of BOOM!

Bolivar, an upcoming graphic novel from Archaia Entertainment, doesn’t arrive in stores until May 2013, but that hasn’t stopped Warner Bros. from snagging the rights to turn it into an animated movie.
Spearheading a new green initiative in the graphic novel industry, Archaia Entertainment announced the upcoming release of Rachel Hope Allison’s I’M NOT A PLASTIC BAG, an original graphic novel published in association with JeffCorwinConnect Inc., a transmedia company co-founded by biologist and philanthropist Jeff Corwin, well-known as the Emmy Award-winning host and executive producer of ABC’s Ocean Mysteries.
