Where exactly do the X-Men stand after the Messiah CompleX? Some are missing, some are out on an extended walk-about, but we know one thing – there are no more new mutants.
“Before I’m even asked, yes, the stories impact several of the big X-Books, like Uncanny X-Men and Young X-Men,†says X-Editor Nick Lowe. “But the best part is that these stories peel back the curtain on some of your favorite X-Characters. The writers and artists REALLY rose to the challenge of their 8-pagers.â€

Who are the Young X-Men? The answers can be found in the new series from Marvel that arrives April 2.
“This is the latest in the streamlining of the X-Books,†says X-Editor Nick Lowe. “Following Messiah CompleX we wanted to make sure that ALL the X-Books were firing on all cylinders and Marc and Yanick do their part.†This isn’t your run of the mill teen comic book, though. “The floor is littered with teen super-hero books and we know it. All the stops are pulled out for this one—tons of surprises, a rich tradition, a tight tie to X-Continuity and more intrigue than you can shake a stick at. As well as big consequences for some of your favorite teen mutants (and not just the ones on the cover)!â€

Marvel Comics has announced Uncanny X-Men #495, X-Force #1, Wolverine #62, and X-Factor #28 have sold out at the distributor level, and the Divided We Stand storyline will be going back to press for another print run.
“I hope people are realizing that this is a new era for the X-Men,†said editor Nick Lowe. “We started the ball rolling with Endangered Species, kicked it into high gear with Messiah CompleX. Now Divided We Stand is showing the effects of both of those and leading to something even bigger. We’re just getting started and it’s a whole new world.”
All four issues will feature variant covers (see them after the jump).
Editor John Barber explained, “It’s great to see everybody—retailers and fans alike—this excited about all the pretty bold move, and it’s a great book. That doesn’t always mean a series will sell so well, but it’s gratifying when it does. Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost put together a powerful story, and Clayton Crain’s art is something to behold. It shows you can take chances with these comics, and people will take a look.â€
The second printings all arrive March 19.
Only Marvel knows…
