This one is for fans of the prequel movie featuring everyone’s favorite adamantium claw wielding hero.

Hey, at least it isn’t a Skrull promo.

We already know that Ryan Reynolds will be playing Deadpool in the Wolverine movie, but now we have some new information. So if you don’t want to know who else has been cast, you better turn back now, Russell.
According to Ain’t It Cool News, Deadpool will be one of the central figures for the Marvel Studios Wolverine movie, and Ryan Reynolds will be playing him.
This one’s supposed to be a secret, but cat’s out of the bag now, Marvel. And I have to say… I think it sounds like fun. I know this has been a character you guys have been developing for years now (hell, I think I pitched a DEADPOOL film back in 2001), and Reynolds is absolutely the right guy for the job.
Other rumors floating around hint that many Marvel villains will be making cameos in the film.

Marvel today released the solicitation information for the next big X-Event – Divided We Stand. No more X-Men and mutants in chaos! Plus if you look forward far enough you might get a clue or two about who is and isn’t a Skrull.
Take the jump for the complete rundown along with cover images.
Twentieth Century Fox has announced May 1, 2009 will be the release date for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The movie will center around Wolverine’s past with Victor Creed and the Weapon X program as well as his interactions with other mutants.
“Wolverine” is expected to feature many other mutants — some new to the film franchise and some from one or more of the three “X-Men” films. Liev Schreiber is reportedly in final talks to take on the role of a younger version of nemesis William Stryker, played by Brian Cox in “X2.”
Wolverine will shoot in Australia, New Zealand, and New Orleans where Wolverine just might encounter Gambit.
