ART APPRECIATION MOMENT OF THE DAY: Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor is featured once again in the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day, simply because his latest installment of Wapsi Square celebrates the date.

After the day I’ve had, I really can’t wait until 5:00…

WEB COMICS: Wapsi Square

It’s been a decade since I first started reading web comics on a regular basis.  One of the few that has held my attention all these years has been Wapsi Square by Paul Taylor.  It is consistently one of the best written, best art, best use of the medium series, and you should really check it out.

The only downside?  If you really want to get into the full Wapsi Square experience, it would be best if you started at the beginning and work your way up to the present.

Wonder Woman Day III Supports Good Cause

Artists around the world are putting together their sketches to raise money and awareness for domestic violence shelters and a women’s crisis line.  So far, 100 pieces of original art will be up on the auction block, including this wonderful little gem from Wapsi Square creator Paul Taylor.

This is a perfect charity that everyone should try and contribute something to.

Paul Taylor Benifit Auction

I’m a huge fan of Wapsi Square by writer/artist Paul Taylor. I came across the online comic about three years ago, and have been hooked ever since. Great deep plot lines, interesting characters, and wonderful fun art. Recently Paul and his wife had a baby boy. That’s the good news. The bad news, he was born a month premature and has had several complications that require extended hospital stays. Extended stays mean high medical bills.

To help out Blank Label Comics is announcing a fund raiser to help the Taylor family out.

Several BLC members and friends are auctioning off original art and other amazing items over the next two weeks. The money made from these auctions will be donated directly to Paul Taylor and his family.

If you don’t want to bid on one of the auctions, you can donate directly at the Wapsi Square (www.wapsisquare.com) through the online Paypal Donation button.
