Today is the day that I will stop buying print editions of Robert Kirkman’s Walking Dead. It isn’t because of the story; those who think this series is destined for a happy ending need a reality check, and it isn’t because I’m fed up with the same ol’ same ol’ that seems to be the nature of the series. The decision to drop the print edition is one that regular Spoilerites have probably already guessed – I own an iPad.
When it comes to landing jobs in H’wood, marketing firms, or ad agencies, hopeful employees will often work on a spec-spot to show off their talents and their vision for the project. Animator Daniel Kanemoto grabbed a bunch of images from the Walking Dead comic books, tossed it into an animation package and whipped up this little gem.

It’s a solid intro for sure, and the music is quite appropriate, but it kind of feels a bit like True Blood, which may cause some to pass on the idea. Walking Dead arrives on AMC on October 31, 2010.
Well, you kind of knew the good times wouldn’t last in Kirkman’s Walking Dead series.
AMC has released a new trailer for the upcoming Walking Dead series. Here Rick wakes up in the hospital following the zombiepocalypse and attempts to make sense of what has happened.
Can’t wait until October 31st to see this one, though with a young one in the house who has an overactive imagination, this might be a series best left to after the kid goes to bed.

The official trailer appeared at the San Diego Comic Con and versions have appeared around the Intardwebz but now it’s officially available for all to see.
As the trailer indicates, there are some changes from the source material, but I’ll still be sitting in front of my television when the series arrives in October.
