FRIDAY SING-ALONG: Weird Al’s Perform This Way

If you want a glimpse into the process of creating a parody and having someone shut you down, check out Weird All Yankovic’s Perform This Way.

This is my parody of Lady Gaga’s song “Born This Way” — which, I’m sorry to say, will NOT be included on my upcoming album. I will give the details of the whole Gaga saga (and offer free mp3 downloads of the song) on weirdal.com very soon.

TUESDAY SING-ALONG: Hayley Kiyoko and friends flash mob Apple store

Got to hand it to Haley Kiyoko and friends who took it upon themselves to generate even more interest in Disney’s latest movie, Lemonade Mouth, but breaking out in song and dance in the middle of the Apple store at the Grove.

Little did the customers in the Apple Store at the Grove know that they were about to get flash mobbed by Chris and Hayley ;P
Determinate-Lemonade Mouth sung by Bridgit Mendler, Hayley Kiyoko, Naomi Scott, Adam Hicks, Blake Michael
Choreographed by: Chris Dupre

Thanks for sharing Hayley! A great example of how people can team up and have some fun!

FAN FILM: World’s Finest

One of the best fan films of all time is Sandy Collora’s Batman: Dead End.  The year it was released, it took the San Diego Comic Con by storm.  The next year, Collora planned to follow up with a trailer of his version of World’s Finest.

That video was never seen by fans at the show.  That year the publishers cracked down on “unauthorized” use of characters, which forced Collora to release the film online.  If you haven’t seen it, take a gander.

Still makes me wonder what might have happened if Collora were given the chance to write and direct this team-up.

TRAILER: Lex Luthor’s return teased by The CW

When audiences learned that Lex Luthor was returning for the season finale of Smallville, people went nuts. I have a feeling after watching this teaser trailer featuring Michael Rosenbaum will have people flipping their lids.

MOVIE: Thor bonus scene leaked – MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Thor doesn’t open until May 6, 2011 here in the United States of America, but the film has already made appearances in other countries.  And when movie goers know ahead of time that there is a better than likely chance a teaser for upcoming Marvel films will appear at the end of the credits, someone somewhere is going to whip out their cellphone and record it for the rest of the world to see.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!  WE DON’T WANT YOU TO BE RUSSELLED! (but we know you’re going to look anyway)
