If you were lamenting finding action figures of some of the lesser known minority DC heroes, Mattel is finally bringing the likes of Black Lightning Vulcan, Bronze Tiger, El Dorado, and Samurai to store shelves.

It won’t die no matter how hard George Lucas tries. The Star Wars toy line is just as prosperous as it’s ever been and this year there is going to be an emphasis on the Vintage line and the Clone Wars cartoon line.
With the summer release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon coming soon it’s only natural that Hasbro focused most of its Transformers presentation on it. While most of the movie figures are merely updates of what fans have seen from the previous two film’s toy lines, Hasbro did have a few tricks up their sleeves.
This year’s G.I. Joe line isn’t filled with quantity but Hasbro is making an effort to focus more on quality. With the 30th anniversary of the “G.I. Joe Versus Cobra” storyline coming up fast, Hasbro is looking to reinvent some old favorites while re-launching the 12 inch line for a new generation of toy fans.
One of the hottest toy brands in the upcoming year will be Marvel Entertainment. With the release of two major motion pictures, multiple videogames and animated television shows, even Marvel’s B-List characters are becoming household names. And when it comes to toy lines, the most anticipated ones for comic fans are the movie toys for Captain America and Thor.
DC Direct released the solicitation information for the Green Lantern movie tie-in products, which includes maquettes, busts, prop replicas and more.

Mattel has announced that the limited edition 3 3/4-inch Green Lantern action figure with die cast ring is now available at Toys R Us.com. It’s a limited edition figure – only 2,814 units are available. The good thing is the online toy store is limiting it to one figure per customer, but I still have a feeling those who really want one will still need to go trolling on eBay in a few weeks. via Matty Collector

Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum released images of the packaging for the 38th series of Marvel Minimates. The series is based on the Shadowland arc that played out in the pages of Daredevil and features Evil Daredevil and Elektra, Big Time Spider-Man and Iron First, White Tiger (or Classic White Tiger) and a Hand Ninja.
