Diamond Comic Distributors has released its listing of the top 300 comics sold in the direct market for March 2013.

With the hype surrounding the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it comes as no surprise that the comic took the top spot.  Marvel’s latest event, Age of Ultron, made appearances in the top ten, with a few DC comics finding their way into the list as well.

On the plus side, comic sales compared to February were up 3.05%, and though the number of days in a month shouldn’t matter, I have a feeling the bump may be due to the 28 days of February.  That being said, March was a very good month for the comics industry as comic sales compared to the same month a year ago saw a 26.28% growth.

Diamond Comic Distributors has released the rundown of the top 300 comics sold in the direct market for December 2012. It should come as no surprise that Amazing Spider-Man #700 was the best selling comic for the month, which lead the way for Marvel Comics to claim 60% of the titles in the top ten.
